Thank you for your great videos and blog, I am learning a lot.  I purchased your video set a few nights ago and found immediate relief by massaging my forearm tendons just below the wrist.  I do not have any pain but suffer from extreme numbness and tingling.  It is well worth the $47 - 100 times over - to learn these techniques.  From the first night after viewing your videos, I woke up with my hands so uncomfortably numb and was able to get blood flow into both  hands quickly by massaging the tendons.  I am so grateful to you, thank you.

I'm a graphic designer on the computer all the time. And this is where my wrist problems started.  Love all the advise that I've been doing with your programs. Tremendous help. I went to three doctors before I started your cousre.

1st Doctor put me on pain medicine, told me I had RA and referred me to a Rheumatology.

2nd Doctor (the Rheumatologist) said stay on the pain medicine (meloxicam) and also put me on pennsaid. Didn't have RA. Went back, still had pain sent me to a specialist for more tests.

3rd Doctor said I had Carpel Tunnel and needed surgery immediately, before more damage occurs.

That wasn't going to happen. Stopped taking all the meds. Went on line to find alternate solution. And there you were. I don't use ice packs like I did every night and sleep better. And the pain has stopped.  Still have some numbness in the middle finger. I think if I massage more often, and exercise like I did in the beginning, this will go away. Especially the massage on my arm and neck.

You're quite right saying about the gripping as I noticed lately I'm doing a lot of hard gripping of things. I massaged the sheath as a found them sensitive and found relief and when I woke up in the morning my hand and fingers was not tingling, numb, sore. I cannot thank you enough for the help you have given me through your online advice - videos and commentary. I suffered from what I now know to be muscle imbalance for years after spending huge amounts of time doing planning for my teaching job on a PC, with a completely inappropriate chair and desk, and NO advice or support as to how long I should spend doing this at any one time, or how to alleviate symptoms. I also suffered whiplash twice during these years. Eventually, I couldn't move my head from side to side AT ALL and my Achilles tendons had shortened and were also hurting badly, so that I was limping. It was horrific!

Despite Physiotherapy - which did get my head moving again, and gave me stretches to keep practising for both my neck and legs, things were not improving much, as the problem kept recurring, and the tennis elbow I was experiencing in both arms was getting worse. When numbness began in my right hand, and I couldn't feel anything in my fingers, I became frightened, and went to see a GP, who said it was the onset of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, and suggested a nerve test, possibly to be followed by surgery.

I agreed to the nerve test, but thought I'd look it up online.The rest is history - as are ALL my symptoms. I found you and followed your advice. After a few sessions where I massaged my Pectoralis Minor muscles, a nerve in my right arm that had been trapped zinged out, and my arm returned to normal. that was just the beginning. I now follow your advice in every respect, and my arms are pain-free. When I had a recent appointment with a Physiotherapist, I told him about you. He was highly impressed, as I was able to tell him exactly what I need to do to maintain my movement and physical wellbeing. He could offer me no more and sent me on my way with a smile. (And I never went for the nerve test, by the way. I'm so glad!).

I had been medically diagnosed with: TMJ, Carpal tunnel, migraines...

One, by one you explained my symptoms, back to back... I was simply amazed by your deep understanding, and experience about carpal tunnel. Something which has imprisoned me, since an auto accident in 1991, over 20 years ago! With horrific physical -- agonizing nightmarish pain -- brought on by severe Whiplash!

'Absent minded' were the doctors I saw who seemed to be ignorant about my severe chronic pain. Worse, when they implied it was due to stress...BALONY.

Believe it or not, they at times would argue..."it's all in your head." How could I argue with them, and behind their high medical education, I thought miserably to myself.

Need I say how utterly screwed I felt.

(Finally, I was blessed to have a great doctor in 2013 -- I had neck surgery to the left side of my neck in (RFA). I was awake when I had the surgery, but the pain from the intense surgery paled in comparison to my TMJ/migraines mind-boggling-pain!

Sadly just three months later, he closed his practice down, and due to a family crisis. But at least I received the needed pain recovery from his surgery to regain more health, strength, and continue to seek on how to reduce the disastrous levels of chronic, severe, acute...chronic pain.)  

Yet, all of the other previous doctors I went to see were not as well informed as you are, or as he was, so they did not provide me with the complete accurate medical diagnoses, therapy, and medical care.

Well, I no longer will be lost -- any more -- with chronic pain!

I vowed to stay committed to your program, and should it take me a year...

Over excited, I jumped forward (in particular) to the one about the Scalene muscles. Bingo! Further validation. The absolute cause of my TMJ/migraines. It all made sense, and finally the missing pieces to the puzzle fell in complete perfect match as to what was the cause of my chronic pain (several PN syndromes). TMJ, carpal, migraines...

With your tips, teachings, explanations, I successfully was able to walk myself out of chronic pain twice, and since I bought them three days ago! I did not have to take any pain medications -- when I followed your videos carefully.

Without your video carpal tunnel self therapy program, I would be lucky if only 1/8 of my pain RX would reduced my chronic pain, and anyway, they always seemed to fail to take away my chronic pain completely. I would be forced to continue to be imprisoned -- with an all day event of constant pain management (countless of hours spent on: self home therapy (I invested in - insurance did not pay), physical therapy offices, or at a pain physicians office).  I would be defeated again, and again -- never hoped to live a pain free life.

Until I saw your program.

After watching your videos, and using your techniques, I have no need for supposed carpal tunnel surgery and severe pain was relieved in my right shoulder, both arms, hands, right jaw, and right ear. I was also experiencing decreased hearing in my right ear and that has been restored!  Positive benefits were rapid, and complete relief did not take more than a few weeks - I was astounded - and so are my family and friends who knew what I was suffering.

I have been an RN for 30 years and did not know many of the things you explain in your videos. As a young nurse I did recognize that physical therapy, massage therapy in particular,  was much more beneficial than medication and surgery in many, many cases but at the time I had no access to training in either field. I am so thankful for those of you who did, especially you, and the videos you made.

I spend a lot of time with my head down and forward and my arms in front of me while I work, as you said in the videos, so I continue to employ your advice and techniques to avert further problems.  I cannot thank you enough, and I recommend your videos to everyone.

I'm writing to offer my thanks for your help. I've been a professional sculptor going on thirty years. My hands were locking up on me with painful tingling and weakness, affecting my work and generally scaring the you know what out of me. I spent $1000 I couldn't really afford to spend on a neurologist, who told my I have carpal tunnel in both hands and would need surgery to repair it. On questioning, she revealed that it doesn't always work. Yikes!

I am a guitarist and music instuctor, so initially it felt devastating. The Dr. / neurologist only had surgery to offer.. and they say i still have "mild bi lateral carpal tunnel". Unbelievably they still offer the surgery! No thanks, I don't need it. If I do feel any tingling (rare), I know how to fix it ( seems to be under my pec). I can play for 3-4 hours straight, no problem.

I have used your program and have almost cured or reversed the situation of Carpal Tunnel which was definitely, in my case, an offset of elbow tendonitis. The sore, stiff forearm muscles caused symptoms similar and more painful compared to Carpal Tunnel.

Thanks for your program as it helped me focus and almost recover to full. I say almost as I might have muscle memory of carpal tunnel and I am still conscious of it.

Hi, thank you for sending the remedy.My trigger thumb is fine now thanks to you, your video and not eating processed foods. I found a large knot on the outside of my forearm, maybe three or four inches down from my wrist, and the muscles around around my clavicle and shoulder were a sore knotted mess. I worked on those areas like you instructed, and could immediately feel the difference. I only had to massage those areas for about three days in the evening. When I eat processed foods,I can feel it coming back, so I try to eat well.  Not to get all emotional, but when I massaged those areas, I immediately felt a difference and I cried like a baby. I am a 25 year old fashion designer and I work almost extensively with my hands. After painting my apartment this summer I started experiencing horrible pain in both my wrists. My physician took blood work thinking it was a virus; all negative. She sent me to a hand specialist who diagnosed carpal tunnel and physical therapy. I thought I was TOO YOUNG FOR THIS.I was on my 5th week of physical therapy and things didn't seem to be improving much when I found your program.

I have learned so much about the human body from you. The doctors and therapist didn't teach me anything about the pain originating from my neck! I did your massage techniques for a few days and felt strikingly better. When I went back to my therapist I asked him about the massages and all I had learned and he agreed you have an amazing technique here for dealing with carpal tunnel. He checked my neck muscles and told me they were in fact INSANELY tight/tense and my posture was horrible.

I have since rearrranged my work station to be more ergonomic, improved my posture and have been massaging myself daily.

It has been a few days since I purchased the program but the results already are much better than what I was feeling after weeks of therapy.

back to that tendency. I dare to hope if I continue to do the work that I

Wonderful. My main issue turned out to be conscientiously learning to

balance the pectoral muscles and massaging and stretching the neck area and scalene muscles. I work from home and was staying at my laptop for too long stretches at a time. I have learned my lesson.

A few years ago I was sent to a specialist because I was experiencing tingling and numbness in some fingers. I was unimpressed with the specialist to say the least. He carried out some crude testing, where he put a metal ring over my finger and passed an electric current into my hand. Then he said. “You have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.” I couldn’t believe it when he then said “I book you in for surgery, you pay cash, I do it cheaper.” I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. When I got home I did a Google search and found your website. I have not looked back since and have been pain free for some time now.

I looked a number of things up on the internet about CTS, and found a number of good exercises.  You, however, put all of it into perspective in a very common sense (and very entertaining) way and gave me the support I needed to avoid the steroid shot I was about to get in my left hand.  You see, I do ultrasound scans for a living and this was debilitating, demoralizing and potentially career ending.  Being the ultimate skeptic, I though what the heck, I don't have a thing to lose.  Well, after about 2 days ( YES!! -- only 2 days) of doing some of the exercises and following your common sense approach... the numbness basically went away and I could feel my fingers going back to basically normal feeling.

So, THANK YOU!!! You are a really wonderful and genuine person and I cannot really find the words to thank you enough.

I just wanted to say that I am already seeing relief from your program!  I have been in so much pain for months....Shoulders, arms, elbows and hands, that I was beginning to think I would never have any relief.  I knew it was muscles, but I didn't know what to do about it, or how to help myself.  

Doctors only want to give you pain medications, because they don't know what else to do.  The pectoralis minor and scalene muscles are my worst, so  I am working on them quite a bit.  I still have some pain, but I believe that it will eventually be gone.  My arms feel week at times, I think  because they have been so stressed for so long.  That too, is getting better.

I ignored increasing symptoms for 6 months. My hands grew numb while mountain biking, computer entry, stitching needlepoint gardening, playing the piano, I began losing my grip during golf swings. In late summer, I spent 6 hours trimming shrubs and power washing a large driveway. When my right hand and arm tired, I used the left. 36 hours later, I woke unable to move my fingers until I stood up and shook some life into them. Pain developed from my fingers all the way to under my arms. Putting my hands on the steering wheel and driving and pushing a grocery cart were incredibly painful.

Cruising the internet, I found your Carpal Tunnel Master (I’m still not sure how I did this.) Your  information was right on target. Now I know that I had carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapment, problems with the pectoralis minor, brachial plexus and scalene muscles. I know because I ordered the program, followed the video instructions and saw results. To be sure I was doing all I needed to do, I visited my long time physical therapist who gave an enthusiastic thumbs up to this program.

The very first time I worked on the pain running along my arms I found relief right away and didn’t have to work on them again for several days. Of course, it took some time to completely calm down each of the problem areas. Then again, I had really overloaded my body. But in about 4 months, I was back to normal.Now if I find that I’ve overused any of these areas (which is rare), I return to Carpal Tunnel Master for a “tune-up.” Then I go about my business and am fully active again. Your carpal tunnel course is awesome ----   this, along with yoga and swimming are beginning to slowly help......    Was not able to get on the computer at all (not able to work at the moment due to 9-10 hrs computer time). Today, have been on the computer for 1/2 hr with no pain (1st time!! Yeah!!!).

It is amazing and sad how the doctor's push for the surgery/cortisone injections....   am a nurse and fully understand the consequences of these.....  do not want any part of it. Am very willing to put in the effort......

I just stumbled upon your website and boy do I wish I would have seen it a couple of years ago. My story is VERY long but to try and make it short, I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome two years ago. I have since had two first rib resections and a scalenectomy wich have unfortunatlly have not worked. I have been unable to work for a year and a half. I went to PT many times and it never helped. To think that the whole time that my muscles were so so tight they caused all of my symptoms almost brings me to tears. Your website is very helpful Thank You

I have had TMJ disorder for years now and I am seeing a physiotherapist and osteapath, scalene and SCM are always a problem with me, I often need reminding as to what I need to do because of the many problems I have.  This video has helped me tremendously this morning.  I have seen a specialist for Carpel Tunnel only to find out that I did not have this problems, but still I had all the symptoms, by doing the scalene exercises which I will need to repeat many times  I have managed to relieve some pain. Thank you for helping people who just about had it with pain and discover that others like you want to help... ( I have spent lots of $$$$ for treatments).

I had numb fingers in my right hand for several months and was finding it very hard to do my work as a bookbinder, plus it was depressing me--scary. Out of frustration I searched the Internet and found your excellent website. I did all of the exercizes you suggested and showed and it worked. Thank you so much for mounting this useful information. It's hard to believe that the numbness started under my arm, especially as you say, I felt it in my shoulder blade area. I never would have figured it out if it weren't for your videos. I think I traced the source of the problem to some intensive flax spinning I had been doing, in combination with bad posture while spinning. If it happens again, I'll know what to do much sooner than before. You are truly a healer.

Some days I hated to use my hands at all because they hurt.  I had a whole variety of pains, sometimes it was like electric needles in the palm, sometimes one hand or the other and sometimes both. Frequently I had pain in the base of the thumb. Sometimes the fingers would throb like the blood couldn't get thru. A lot of time they bothered me at night  and they would ache up to the elbows if I had cut the grass or snowblowed. Sometimes the pain in the palm of my hand felt like bones on bones and it hurt to stretch my hands. Almost always they felt numb.

I've had this condition since '94 and just lived with it. I never sought medical treatment because I didn't like the advice that  was given   (surgery or pills)  For quite a while I took B6 200mg a day and that did help, but I never took aspirin or motrin..Just out of curiosity one day I decided to look on the internet to see if there was anything new on this problem.

Well, I bought Hilmas course. I started with scalene stretches and got immediate relief. Then the next few days as i got thru the videos I used the tennis ball to massage the forearms and upper arms and did the stretch against the wall. Right away I was practically pain free and  now I can hardly remember what the pain was like!  The numbness is gone and my hands are more limber and I'm going to keep them this way!

I am so relieved about this, because I thought I was destined to end up like my aunt someday, and I was afraid of getting helpless. My hands were getting stiff, it hurt to put on gloves, I'm an LPN  (semi retired) and  I used to have to wet my hands to get those rubber gloves on, so they would slide on easier.

Thank you for helping. I am at my wit’s end. I have been using acupuncture for CTS– hasn’t helped. I am also using splints on my forearms at night. I am not sleeping and I am hurting at my wrists shoulders and upper back. I did your stretches and they did seem to help.
